Medical Science Jobs—Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Anesthesiology from a recognized institution
- Valid medical license to practice in India

Role Overview
The Senior Consultant – Anesthesia will oversee perioperative anesthesia services, ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures, and work collaboratively with surgical, nursing, and critical care teams. The role requires strong clinical judgment, adherence to institutional protocols, and the ability to manage high-acuity cases in a busy clinical setting efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preoperative evaluations, assess patient fitness, and plan tailored anesthesia management
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia as clinically required
- Monitor vital parameters, anesthesia depth, and intraoperative patient stability
- Provide post-operative care, including pain management and monitoring in the recovery area
- Manage anesthesia-related emergencies and facilitate rapid response when needed
- Maintain accurate perioperative medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety policies, clinical standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and nursing staff for seamless perioperative care
- Support continuous quality improvement and participate in departmental activities
