Qualifications
- Active senior scientist with a strong record of research excellence
- Proven achievements through publications, patents, awards, grants, or technology transfers
- Must hold a regular academic or research position in a recognized Indian institution
- Age between 45 and 65 years at the time of submission
- Indian national or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) working in India
- Sufficient residual service in India (project duration + 1 year)
- Applicants who have completed three terms under the J. C. Bose Fellowship or Research Grant are not eligible

Research Grant Nomination Process
- Nominations must be submitted by Heads of Institutions/Universities or Presidents of National Science Academies.
- Nominee must register on www.anrfonline.in
- Nominee completes the application and sends it to the nominator.
- Nominator submits the final nomination through the ANRF portal
- Confirmation is sent to both the nominee and the nominator upon successful submission
