Specialty: Vascular Surgery
Schedule: 40 hours per week; clinic, hospital, and surgical hours designated
Call Schedule: call is rotated every 3rd week

Responsibilities:
Position Highlights:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified Vascular Surgery is required for this position
- Candidates should display strong interpersonal skills and desire to develop ties with the community and existing medical staff
- Physician will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within our Heart & Vascular service line to deliver the highest quality of patient care
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
- Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients
- Accepts patient referrals from other physicians
- Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested
- Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner
- Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules
Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
