Educational Qualifications
- An MBBS degree recognized under the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
- Postgraduate Degree in the relevant specialty: MS / DNB or equivalent from a recognized teaching institute
- Super-Specialty Qualification: DM / M.Ch. /Dr. NB in Urology
Mandatory Certifications
- Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) from NMC-designated institutions

About the Role
The Assistant Professor (Urologist) at CDSIMER will serve as a clinical faculty member, delivering specialized urological care, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to academic research. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system
- Perform urological surgeries, including endoscopic, minimally invasive, and open procedures
- Assess patients using advanced diagnostic tools such as CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, cystoscopy, and related imaging modalities
- Handle emergency urological cases and ensure comprehensive post-operative care
- Prescribe and monitor medications, treatment plans, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate medical records and departmental case documentation
Academic & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise residents, interns, and junior faculty members
- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching programs
- Engage in clinical research, audits, publications, and academic presentations
- Attend and contribute to CME programs, conferences, and workshops
- Support institutional readiness for inspections by NMC and other regulatory bodies
Administrative & Professional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, academic guidelines, and statutory regulations
