About the Project / Center
This BDS job recruitment is for project positions at the Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA), a specialized center under THSTI. CDSA supports affordable healthcare product development and is the only public center in India focused on not-for-profit, technology-driven clinical research and development.
It provides end-to-end support for clinical studies including planning, project management, data handling, regulatory compliance, and reporting-making it a key hub for professionals seeking THSTI careers and advanced clinical job roles.
Job Description
This clinical job involves leading clinical trials and study operations at CDSA. The candidate will be responsible for portfolio oversight, project management, quality monitoring, and ensuring compliance with national and international clinical research regulations.
Qualifications
- Medical professional qualification (MBBS or BDS Qualification) or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 12 years of experience in clinical project management or drug development OR
- Postgraduate degree in science or health-related discipline with at least 15 years of experience in clinical project management and drug development AND
- Significant experience in clinical trials or public health project management in recognized organizations such as CROs, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, or academic clinical units
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Strategy
- Lead clinical research strategy and portfolio development
- Develop policies, SOPs, and systems for clinical trials
- Ensure compliance with CDSCO, ICMR, and global regulatory standards
- Represent CDSA in audits, inspections, and collaborations
2. Clinical Operations
- Oversee end-to-end management of clinical trials
- Handle project planning, budgeting, and timelines
- Ensure proper study setup including regulatory approvals
- Monitor study performance and resolve operational challenges
3. Quality Oversight
- Implement risk-based monitoring strategies
- Ensure data integrity and participant safety
- Maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance
4. Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with sponsors, investigators, and regulators
- Communicate project updates and performance metrics
- Manage multidisciplinary teams effectively
5. Training and Development
- Lead training programs in clinical research and GCP
- Mentor team members and contribute to CDSA training initiatives
