Medpace Careers—Qualifications:
- M.D. with active medical licensure (mandatory)
- Board Certification in Cardiology preferred
- Strong proficiency in interpreting:
- EKG and Holter-EKG
- One or more cardiac imaging modalities
- Experience using cardiac analysis tools, PACS systems, and digital imaging software
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Access, and other computer tools
- Board Eligibility in Cardiology or equivalent demonstrated competency
Role:
The Cardiologist–Medical Director will support Medpace Core Labs by providing expert medical oversight for cardiac imaging and EKG review in clinical trials. This is a full-time, office-based position involving scientific leadership, protocol review, central reading responsibilities, and collaboration with global sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assignments, training, and management of central cardiac imaging and EKG readers
- Collaborate with Core Lab leadership on technical and scientific aspects of cardiac assessments
- Participate in sponsor site visits, audits, and technical discussions
- Review clinical protocols, Image Review Charters, and study documents
- Perform blinded, independent central reviews of EKGs and cardiac imaging for trials
- Ensure compliance with GCP, study endpoints, and Medpace SOPs
- Accurately complete source documentation per protocol requirements
- Participate in intra-reader and inter-reader variability assessments
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of SOPs and study-specific procedures
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
