Job Description:

The Director at the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory will play a pivotal role in overseeing the testing and standardisation of drugs. This position requires a strong medical background and extensive experience in drug testing and research. The Director will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with national regulations, and developing strategic approaches to improve drug testing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

Eligibility Criteria for the CDSCO Recruitment:

  • Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territory Administrations or autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or university or recognised research institution.
  • Holding an analogous post regularly in the parent cadre or department; or with five years of regular service in level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200); or with ten years of regular service in level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700).
  • Essential qualifications include a Master’s Degree in medical-related fields such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Bacteriology, Medicine, Microbiology, or Biotechnology from a recognised University or Institute.
  • Twelve years’ experience in drug testing, standardisation, and research from a recognised institute.
  • Desirable: Doctorate Degree in relevant medical fields from a recognised University or Institute.

Documents Required for the CDSCO Recruitment:

  • Application in the prescribed format – Annexure II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned by the Cadre/Appointing authority.
  • Self-attested copies of Date of Birth and Master’s Degree.
  • Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last five years.
  • Integrity Certificate.
  • Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
  • Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed during the last ten years of service.
  • A certificate verifying the particulars furnished by the candidate.
  • Cadre Clearance Certificate.
