Clinical Assistant Job – Description:
- Professional Approach: Adapt a professional approach with all patients, staff, and visitors.
- Medical Cover: Provide medical cover, both routine and emergency, during duty hours and collaborate with other specialties to serve the institute.
- Procedures and Instruments: Capable of performing procedures like Central line, IV Channelization, Intubation, and operating instruments like Ventilator.
- Clinical Safety: Adhere to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols, including glove use, aprons, and hand hygiene.
- Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients as needed or upon request and identify complex health issues to report to the concerned doctor.
- Daily Clinical Management: Supervise daily clinical management of all patients under Consultant guidance.
- Pain Management: Ability to prescribe pain management medicines.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, family, colleagues, and other healthcare workers.
- Treatment Sheets: Complete treatment sheets with diagnosis in capital letters, date, name, and sign. Refer to progress notes while writing treatment sheets.
- Rounds: Assist Consultants during rounds, conduct independent rounds, and follow up on patient care.
- Discharge Summary: Prepare discharge summaries.
- Patient Assessment: Responsible for assessing new patients admitted.
- On-Call Duties: Follow on-call and duty rota based on the department’s requirements.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in the organization’s Quality Improvement Initiative and protocols.
