Minimum Educational qualifications and experience required:

Qualification: MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
Experience: At least 5 years of post-qualification experience after completing a compulsory rotating internship in a recognized large / multi-specialty hospital of good repute.
Desirable: Post Graduate Qualification, preferably MD in General Medicine or equivalent
qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
Experience may be relaxed in deserving cases with the approval of the Competent
Authority

Venue: Board room, Room No. 1128, First Floor, Block-I, Academic Building, Permanent Campus, IISER Berhampur, Ganjam, Odisha, 0680-2227 707/ 710.

Note: Interested and eligible candidates who possess the requisite qualification and experience as mentioned above may appear for the “Walk-In-Evaluation and Skill Test” as scheduled above with the duly filled Biodata form at Annexure-I, a recent passport size photo and all original academic certificates with mark sheet, valid ID proof, Experience Certificate, valid OCMR certificate (in case of Duty Medical Officer), Relieving Certificate (if any) with a set of duly self-attested photocopy of the documents, in support to his/her application.

Important Instructions:

The contractual engagement is for a period of 11 months, which may be extended at the sole discretion of the Competent Authority based on the performance and requirements of the Institute. After completion of the term, engagement shall stand terminated automatically unless the same is extended in writing. No separate notice will be served on completion of the contract.
The position is purely contractual and on need-based temporary engagement only. The
engaged personnel will have no right whatsoever for permanent employment/absorption at IISER Berhampur.
The Competent Authority of the Institute reserves the right to cease the engagement at any time without any notice period or assigning any reason, thereof.
The candidate selected for the above-mentioned position will be required to work at the permanent Campus of the Institute situated at Laudigam, Konishi, Berhampur, Ganjam, and may be required to stay at the Permanent Campus.
The remuneration per month is consolidated throughout the contractual engagement period. It is inclusive of all perquisite benefits, but subject to deduction of income tax and any other recoveries at source as per law in vogue.
Canvassing in any manner would be a disqualification for the candidature.
Rules as applicable for regular employees in the matter of discipline will be equally
applicable.
The decision of the Institute on all matters will be final. No correspondence /interim inquiries will be entertained by the candidates in connection with the process of selection. Any dispute with regard to this process will be subject to the Court having jurisdiction over Berhampur, Ganjam only.
The contractual employee has to attend office from Monday to Saturday in a week except for Gazetted holidays.
The aforesaid instructions shall be supplementary and in addition to the terms ofthe
engagement letter, which shall be issued to the eligible candidate.
No TA/DA will be paid to attend the Walk-In-Evaluation and Skill Test if called for (or) for joining the post if selected.
The selected candidate will have to submit a notarized affidavit executed in a Non-Judicial stamp paper worth Rs.100/- that the post against s/he is to be engaged at IISER Berhampur is a purely temporary contractual basis for a fixed term of not exceeding 11 months and on monthly consolidated payment basis and will not demand any regularization/ absorption against any regular positions and will not claim for continuation beyond the specified period of contractual engagement.
