Educational Qualification

  • MBBS with MD (Pharmacology/Medicine) OR
  • Full-time postgraduate qualification in any discipline of medicine

Work Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or research organisation in a Medical Advisor or similar role

About the Role

The Lead – Medical Monitoring & Safety will serve as a core scientific leader within the medical affairs function, providing the scientific foundation for therapeutic area (TA) strategies. The role involves overseeing medical activities, engaging key opinion leaders, and ensuring effective execution of the medical affairs plan. The incumbent will play a critical role in bridging scientific insights with commercial teams while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core scientific member of the cross-functional franchise team, shaping the therapeutic area medical strategy
  • Conceptualise and manage medical activities, including research initiatives, publications, medical education, and patient support programs
  • Engage and collaborate with key thought leaders in alignment with the overall medical strategy
  • Ensure effective execution of the medical affairs plan through regional medical affairs teams
  • Act as a therapeutic area expert, discussing scientific data with specialists and providing training to sales and marketing teams
  • Facilitate the flow of medical insights, emerging data, and safety information across internal stakeholders
