Role
The MSL will serve as the primary scientific expert and external-facing representative for oncology within the medical affairs team. This role involves engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), sharing clinical evidence, capturing medical insights, supporting medical initiatives, and shaping the scientific landscape in the assigned geography. As part of a highly collaborative cross-functional setup, the MSL will contribute to developing and executing medical strategies that enhance therapy understanding and enable better patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage as the main scientific contact for oncology with KOLs, clinicians, and medical experts.
- Identify, profile, and maintain relationships with KOLs in the assigned region.
- Discuss emerging data, treatment trends, and clinical evidence related to J&J’s oncology portfolio.
- Gather scientific insights and relay them to the franchise team for medical planning.
- Respond to medical and scientific information requests from healthcare professionals.
- Provide scientific training and updates to internal sales and therapy teams.
- Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives.
- Support medical education, advisory boards, and scientific initiatives.
- Travel extensively (70–80%) to engage customers and execute field activities.
