Key Responsibilities:

Occupational Health Management

  • Develop and implement Occupational Health Care Plans for employees
  • Conduct regular medical surveillance for occupational hazards and employee health monitoring
  • Manage and operate plant medical facilities and healthcare services
  • Respond to workplace medical emergencies and coordinate external medical support
  • Prepare medical reports, health statistics, and compliance reports for management
  • Coordinate referrals with healthcare providers and specialists
  • Maintain confidential employee medical records

Wellness & Preventive Care

  • Execute wellness awareness programs for employees, contract workers, and families
  • Conduct health education sessions on nutrition, hygiene, stress management, and preventive care
  • Provide first aid and primary medical care for workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct health assessments and periodic medical examinations
  • Monitor chronic illnesses and occupational health conditions
  • Support government medical initiatives, health camps, and blood donation camps
  • Collaborate with HR and Safety teams to promote workplace wellness

Budget & Inventory Management

  • Obtain budget approvals for Occupational & Township Health Centres
  • Monitor departmental expenditure and optimize healthcare costs
  • Manage procurement and inventory of medical supplies and equipment

Business Sustainability & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, and CHETNA guidelines
  • Implement 5S practices at Occupational Health Centres
  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act 1948 and other health regulations
  • Develop occupational health and safety policies with Safety teams
  • Manage safety interaction and incident management schedules

Digitization & Automation

  • Lead digitization initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Implement digital tools for health monitoring and healthcare management
  • Drive healthcare automation and innovation initiatives

Educational Requirements for this Factory Medical Officer Job:
