Educational Requirements for the Govt Consultant Specialist Jobs:
Candidates should possess qualifications relevant to the respective Consultant specialty.
- MBBS from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate Degree/Diploma (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) in the relevant specialty.
- Super-specialty qualification wherever applicable.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or respective State Medical Council.
- Relevant post-qualification experience as prescribed in the official notification.
- Additional certifications or specialized training will be an added advantage.
NOTE I: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service
Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well
qualified.
NOTE II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the
Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of
candidates belonging to Schedule Tribe, if at any stage of selection the Union Public
Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this
community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the
posts reserved for them.
