Job Details:
- Position: Advisor – Public Health Administration

- Duration of Contract: Initial Contract till 31 March 2028 (with further extension subject to satisfactory performance and extension of NHM).
Job Description:
The Advisor (PHA) will lead and oversee the division’s work in various thematic areas, assisting States and UTs in strengthening healthcare provisions, implementing Indian Public Health Standards, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals. This Govt. Medical Job includes providing technical support, capacity-building, and reviewing health infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist States and UTs in strengthening secondary and tertiary healthcare.
- Support implementation of Indian Public Health Standards across public health institutions.
- Provide technical support for achieving goals specified under Sustainable Development Goal 3.
- Contribute to the strengthening of the urban health architecture through the National Urban Health Mission.
- Review and improve accountability mechanisms of health systems.
- Lead guideline development and policy modifications in specified thematic areas.
- Build team capacity and mentor division members.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Executive Director.
Eligibility Criteria for this Govt. Medical Job:
- Essential: Medical Degree (MBBS) with a postgraduate degree (MD, MS, MPH, or PhD).
- At least 15 years of post-qualification experience in health policy, planning, and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in operationalizing health programs at the field level.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.

Salary:
