Job Description:
Under the latest ICON Careers opportunity, the company is hiring a Drug Safety Physician in India to support pharmacovigilance and drug safety activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing adverse event reports, assessing drug safety data, supporting risk management strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities for the Pharmacovigilance Job:
- Provide medical review and assessment of adverse event reports from clinical trials and post-marketing sources.
- Evaluate clinical significance and causality of reported adverse events.
- Offer medical guidance on safety-related issues and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk management plans.
- Prepare safety-related documents, including periodic safety reports.
- Monitor emerging safety concerns and relevant medical literature.
- Support safety surveillance and pharmacovigilance activities.
- Interact directly with clients and provide document-specific advice.
- Ensure compliance with global drug safety regulations and guidelines.
Educational Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with an active medical license.
- MBBS or MD qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in drug safety or pharmacovigilance.
- Board certification or equivalent experience in a relevant specialty, such as Internal Medicine or Pharmacology, is preferred.
