Internship Opportunity: The ICMR–National Institute of Traditional Veterinary and Animal Research (ICMR-NITVAR), Pune, invites applications for its Student Internship and MSc Dissertation Program for the January–March 2026 session. This centrally coordinated training opportunity is designed for postgraduate students from biomedical, paramedical, and public health backgrounds who wish to gain hands-on research experience in a premier national research institute under ICMR.
Internship Opportunity Program Overview
ICMR-NITVAR offers structured 6-month dissertation training and short-term internships (1–3 months) to support research, capacity building, and skill development in emerging scientific disciplines. Students must apply with a recommendation letter from their college principal or department head permitting full-time participation in the internship.

- Paramedical and allied health sciences

- Joining letter signed by the allotted mentor
- Original university recommendation letter
- Photocopies of academic certificates & Aadhar card
- CV
- ICMR-NITVAR undertaking form
Institute Rules
- Strict adherence to ICMR-NITVAR and Government of India guidelines
- Mandatory compliance with ethical rules and data confidentiality agreement
- No stipend / TA / DA provided
- Photography inside institute, labs or campus is strictly prohibited
- Compulsory wearing of valid ICMR-NITVAR ID card
- A proper dress code must be maintained
