About the Role
The Medical Records Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate patient records across clinical departments. The role supports healthcare teams by ensuring proper documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations, while also contributing to the hospital’s digital record initiatives.
MBBS Job: Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and verify patient medical records using EMR systems
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of medical data
- Support pre-operative and post-operative clinical documentation
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, OT staff, and administrative teams for record completion
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly medical record reports as required
- Assist in the digitization of paper records and the systematic organization of electronic files
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and healthcare regulations
- Support inventory tracking of medical supplies when required
