Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- RACP advanced trainees (Palliative Medicine and other subspecialties)
- Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine trainees
- Clin. Foundations in Palliative Medicine (RACP) trainees
- Faculty of Pain Medicine trainees
- Family Medicine Program trainees, or as detailed under qualifications
- Minimum of four years of residency completed since graduation
- Current Driver’s license
- Proven satisfactory clinical performance supported by two referees
- Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare teams
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Flexibility to work after-hours, on-call, and across locations
Job Description:
This MBBS job provides an opportunity to undertake advanced training in Palliative Medicine within a specialist palliative care service. The Advanced Trainee in Palliative Medicine will provide quality healthcare to patients under supervision, while developing a broad knowledge of the principles and practice of palliative medicine and achieving the required level of competence for Advanced Training. Supervision will be provided by specialist medical staff, with learning and professional development guided by the Chapter of Palliative Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
