Job Description:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL), also referred to as Scientific Advisor, is a dynamic MBBS job that blends scientific expertise, strategic planning, and high-level communication. This role involves engaging with healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to share balanced, reliable, and in-depth scientific information related to rare blood disorders, particularly hemophilia.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a medical field (MBBS, MD preferred)
- 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of hematology, hemophilia, coagulopathies, and bleeding disorders
- Experience engaging with opinion leaders in hematology is desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute field activities focused on scientific information related to rare blood diseases, especially hemophilia
- Disseminate medical knowledge and update healthcare professionals on treatment guidelines and clinical studies
- Conduct scientific meetings and lectures within the therapeutic area
- Align scientific field activities with Sanofi’s strategic objectives
- Maintain compliance with ethics, integrity principles, and Sanofi policies
- Ensure effective communication with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Commercial Operations teams
- Build long-term scientific partnerships with KOLs and healthcare stakeholders
- Coordinate with diagnostic teams to support pre-therapy diagnostic processes
- Record and report field insights using approved tools
- Support evidence-generation and investigator-led research initiatives
Major Challenges:
- Operate independently while collaborating with Rare Blood Disorder Medical Advisors
- Travel 10–12 days per month across India
- Balance KOL perspectives with corporate medical strategies
- Maintain strict non-promotional compliance in line with pharmaceutical regulations
- Plan daily stakeholder interactions aligned with Medical Affairs strategy
- Execute KOL engagement strategies tailored to diverse stakeholders
- Contribute to medical strategy development and cross-functional guidance
- Use approved scientific data to enhance understanding of rare blood disorders
