Key Responsibilities:
Medical Strategy & Clinical Input:
- Develop and execute Therapy Area/Product Medical Affairs Plans.
- Align Field Medical Strategic Plans (FMSP) and MSL activities with medical affairs objectives.
- Identify and implement scalable clinical practice transformation initiatives.
- Use digital tools and data dashboards for evidence-based decision-making.
- Lead medically-led initiatives to close gaps in patient care.
- Provide scientific guidance to integrate medical advancements into clinical practice.
Team & People Management:
- Recruit and mentor top talent for medical roles.
- Foster inclusion, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
- Manage team performance with metrics focused on patient outcomes.
- Guide the team in delivering stakeholder-focused scientific communications.
- Lead change initiatives and oversee financial resources.
Medical Governance Oversight:
- Provide scientific approval for product and marketing materials.
- Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca standards, policies, and local regulations.
- Advise cross-functional teams on medical accuracy.
