Job Description:

This medical advisor job is a field-based scientific expert role in the assigned therapeutic area, responsible for executing the Medical Affairs Plan(s) for pre-launch and/or newly launched products/indications. If you are looking for high-impact medical jobs in Delhi, this opportunity provides direct engagement with scientific experts and healthcare leaders.

Qualifications:

Essential: Scientific degree or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline

Desirable:

  • Doctoral degree (M.D.)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, clinical, or preclinical research
  • Knowledge of therapeutic area, disease state, and treatment
  • Experience in drug discovery, drug development, and KEE interactions

Key Responsibilities:

Scientific Expertise

  • Maintain clinical/scientific expertise in disease state management, AstraZeneca products, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape.
  • Contribute to the development and provide project leadership/management of the therapeutic area Field Medical Strategic Plan (FMSP).
  • Act as a subject matter expert/resource for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with internal stakeholders in the development and delivery of appropriate training and mentoring within the therapeutic area.

Scientific Exchange

  • Engage in peer-to-peer dialogue with key customers and deliver appropriate clinical/scientific content using the correct channel mix.
  • Respond to unsolicited customer inquiries and provide focused and balanced clinical/scientific information supporting the safe use of AstraZeneca products.
  • Provide scientific/clinical support and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key customers and scientific thought leaders.
  • Organize and facilitate scientific events such as MSL events, symposia, Scientific Exchanges, Advisory Boards/Expert Panels, non-promotional standalone events, and Meet the Professor sessions.
  • Deliver informative lectures at scientific events aligned with the field’s medical communication strategy.
  • Collaborate with KEEs on study proposals (ESR or Local Study) and publications of interest to AstraZeneca.

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts.
  • Identify pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators aligned with Medical Plans.
  • Support data generation activities, including reviews of Investigator-Sponsored Studies.
  • Expand engagement to non-traditional KEEs, including government, payer groups, researchers, and clinical advisors.
  • Establish partnerships addressing patient healthcare access gaps within the ecosystem.

Compliance & Governance

  • Leverage digital innovation for scientific exchange and patient-centric solutions.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmacovigilance and GxP principles, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and adverse event reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to Ethical Interactions Policy, local laws, regulations, and AstraZeneca Global Field Medical Standards.
  • Comply with clinical trial, promotional activity, and pharmacovigilance regulations.
