Job Description:
The Area Medical Advisor for Vaccines will provide scientific expertise and build knowledge-based relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). This role involves educating healthcare professionals about specific drugs or medical devices, collecting insights regarding product usage, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific expertise and build knowledge-based relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to advance medical practice and research for societal benefit.
- Act as an interface with identified scientific leaders, building regional relationships to contribute to understanding diseases and treatment patterns.
- Educate healthcare professionals about specific drugs or medical devices, ensuring effective product usage.
- Collect insights from KOLs regarding product usage and unmet needs, feeding this information back to internal teams.
- Stay informed of the latest scientific research and clinical developments in their therapeutic area.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
- Implement medical activities relevant to brand plan strategies for specific products.
- Conduct/facilitate round table meetings/group discussions and CMEs as a speaker/moderator for assigned therapy areas/products.
Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Advisor Job:
- Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in Medicine or other medical sciences (e.g., MBBS, MD in Pharmacology or Community Medicine, PhD in allied sciences, MPH, etc.)
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience required in Medical Affairs
Required Skills for the Medical Advisor Job:
- Basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery, research & development, and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of clinical pharmacology, medical and paramedical sciences, and relevant therapeutic areas/products.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including medical writing and presentation skills.
- Analytical skills and sound medical judgment/decision making.
