Job Description:
Boehringer Ingelheim is recruiting a Medical Advisor for its Head Office in Mumbai under the Medical Corporate Affairs function. This full-time, hybrid position is designed for experienced professionals responsible for executing medical affairs strategies, strengthening scientific partnerships, supporting regulatory initiatives, and driving medical engagement across assigned therapeutic areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Build a deep understanding of current practices, treatment trends, and therapies within the assigned therapeutic area by engaging with key customers, attending scientific symposia, and reviewing relevant medical literature.
- Gather and communicate scientific information clearly and effectively, positioning Boehringer Ingelheim Medical as a trusted and preferred partner through credible, non-promotional interactions.
- Execute key medical projects (e.g., IIS studies) to strengthen engagement with customers and networks, delivering value to both healthcare professionals and the organization.
- Implement local medico-marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Identify and engage key experts within the territory, building strong professional relationships and networks.
- Support the registration of new products or indications by delivering scientific presentations and liaising with healthcare professionals to gain advocacy.
- Contribute to the development and review of labeling documents for pipeline and local products in line with relevant standard operating procedures.
- Support regulatory affairs in providing access to external experts when appropriate.
Eligibility Criteria for this Medical Advisor Job:
- Medical degree in Pharmacology required.
- Preferably 4-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. For professionals without a doctoral qualification, relevant field-based work experience of 10+ years with good scientific expertise is preferable.
- Scientific expertise in the Diabetes Therapy Area is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Role based in Mumbai.
