Medical Advisor Jobs—Qualifications
- Education: MBBS/MD from a recognised medical institution.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical Affairs; prior experience as an RMA/MSL preferred.
- Therapeutic Expertise: Strong understanding of diabetes and metabolic disorders, including clinical guidelines and evolving treatment paradigms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build and maintain scientific relationships with HCPs, KOLs, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse clinical data, generate insights, and translate evidence into actionable strategy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex science.
- Compliance: High ethical standards with strong adherence to industry regulations and internal company policies.
- Preferred: Experience providing medical training, supporting commercial teams, and participating in scientific discussions at conferences or CMEs.
Role Overview
The regional medical advisor serves as the scientific liaison between Novo Nordisk and healthcare professionals in the region. This role supports the implementation of medical strategies, drives evidence-based discussions, and ensures that clinical insights meaningfully contribute to brand, medical, and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Local Medical Strategy: Execute national Medical Affairs plans at the regional level by converting strategic objectives into measurable actions.
- Scientific Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and expand relationships with KOLs, endocrinologists, diabetologists, and other HCPs to strengthen advocacy for Novo Nordisk’s portfolio.
- Insight Generation: Attend medical conferences, scientific meetings, and field engagements to capture clinical insights and unmet needs; communicate findings effectively to internal teams.
- Medical Education & Training: Develop and deliver training modules for physicians, allied HCPs, sales teams, and marketing groups to ensure consistent, compliant medical knowledge.
- Scientific Support: Offer evidence-backed guidance on therapeutic positioning, label interpretation, clinical trials, and emerging scientific data.
