Job Description:
The Medical Affairs Lead provides scientific and medical leadership to support Glenmark’s strategy, product portfolio, and business in the Asia Pacific region. This role emphasizes compliance while focusing on strategic, scientific, and business initiatives such as new product launches, medical education, and advocacy creation with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs). The position also involves bridging various internal and external stakeholders to ensure evidence-based decision-making and compliant execution of medical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Medical Affairs strategy for the APAC region aligned with global medical objectives.
- Create region-specific medical plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Partner with global and country teams to assess launch readiness and resolve medical capability gaps.
- Act as a senior Medical Affairs subject-matter expert for the APAC region in this Medical Affairs Job in Mumbai.
- Lead medical education programs, advisory boards, and publication planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and academic institutions at Glenmark Careers.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant therapeutic areas and competitive landscapes.
- Identify regional evidence gaps and recommend appropriate studies.
Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Affairs Job:
- MBBS, MD (MD with Pharmacology or Medicine preferred).
- 8–12 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of regional diversity across APAC.
- Therapeutic area expertise in dermatology, respiratory, and oncology preferred.
- Knowledge of GCP, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in scientific communication and medical education.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and project management capabilities.
