Medical Consultant Job Details:

  • Position: Consultant – General Surgery
  • Location: Continental Hospitals, Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh
  • Department: General & Laparoscopic Surgery
  • Experience: 3 years+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive surgical consultation, diagnosis, treatment and post-operative care.
  • Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures independently as per clinical expertise.
  • Manage patients with acute surgical conditions and surgical emergencies.
  • Perform and assist in laparoscopic and open surgical procedures.
  • Conduct OPD consultations, pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups.
  • Ensure appropriate clinical documentation, informed consent and adherence to hospital protocols.
  • Coordinate with Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Radiology, Gastroenterology and other specialties for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Participate in emergency/on-call duties as required.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control and clinical quality.
  • Contribute to the development and strengthening of General Surgery services in Jagdalpur.

Eligibility Criteria for Medical Consultant Job:

  • MBBS + MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognised institution.
  • Valid medical registration.
  • Relevant experience in General Surgery; experience in laparoscopic surgery will be preferred.
  • Ability to independently manage routine as well as emergency surgical cases.
