Job Description:
This Medical Consultant Job is a full-time, on-site Consultant – Critical Care position at Neotia Getwel Multispecialty Hospital in Siliguri. The selected professional will provide comprehensive ICU care, including assessment, diagnosis, stabilization and ongoing management of critically ill patients. The Consultant will lead critical care teams, oversee treatment plans, coordinate with other specialties, participate in emergency response and contribute to clinical documentation, quality improvement, staff development and patient-family communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, stabilize and manage critically ill patients.
- Provide comprehensive clinical care within the ICU.
- Lead and coordinate the critical care team.
- Develop and oversee appropriate patient treatment plans.
- Coordinate care with consultants from other medical specialties.
- Follow evidence-based critical care protocols and hospital guidelines.
- Participate in clinical rounds and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Support emergency response and resuscitation activities.
- Contribute to clinical quality improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior doctors and other clinical staff.
- Support communication with patients and families regarding prognosis and care plans.
Eligibility Criteria for this Medical Consultant Job:
- DM in Critical Care, or
- DrNB in Critical Care
- Current medical registration with the appropriate statutory council.
