Job Description:
Novo Nordisk is hiring a Senior Manager – Medical Data Review for its Central Monitoring Unit in Bangalore. This Medical Data Review Job offers experienced medical professionals the opportunity to lead medical monitoring activities across global clinical development programs while ensuring data quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM).
The successful candidate will lead a team of medical reviewers, collaborate with global stakeholders, and contribute to improving clinical trial oversight through innovative medical monitoring strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead medical monitoring activities across clinical development programs.
- Ensure medical data quality, consistency, and laboratory data surveillance.
- Implement Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) principles.
- Manage and mentor a team of medical reviewers.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
- Allocate resources and manage departmental budgets.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical & Science, Data Management, Global Safety, and Biostatistics teams.
- Represent RBQM and Medical Monitoring in cross-functional committees.
- Coordinate with CROs and regulatory authorities during inspections.
- Drive process improvements and innovation in medical monitoring.
- Maintain audit and inspection readiness.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, GxP, SOPs, and internal quality standards.
Educational Requirements for this Medical Data Review Job:
Essential Qualification
- MD degree in Medicine or an equivalent healthcare discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of people management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive experience in clinical development and medical monitoring.
- Strong understanding of RBQM, GCP, GxP, and global drug development.
- Experience working with regulatory authorities and CROs.
