Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to medical and scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
- Provide accurate, balanced, and timely medical information through verbal and written communications.
- Handle unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare providers, payers, and managed care organizations.
- Support the Medical Information team in managing escalated cases and complex inquiries.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to Medical Information Call Center staff.
- Develop and maintain Standard Response Letters (SRLs) and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents.
- Build and update product knowledge databases using the latest scientific evidence.
- Analyze reports, trends, and performance metrics to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities.
- Prepare quarterly updates and insights for internal stakeholders.
- Continuously review scientific literature and emerging clinical data.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs colleagues to ensure current and accurate medical resources.
- Support Promotional Material Review Committee (PMRC) and Scientific Review Committee (SRC) activities.
- Work closely with Clinical Development, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Quality Assurance, and Market Access teams.
- Assist in preparing scientific presentations and educational materials.
- Support legal contract review and coordination for Medical Affairs activities.
- Contribute to additional Medical Information and Medical Affairs initiatives as required.
Educational Requirements for this Medical Information Job:
- Advanced degree in Health Sciences preferred:
- PharmD
- PhD
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences may be considered:
- Medical/Drug Information fellowship, residency, or postdoctoral training is preferred.
- Additional training in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical practice is advantageous.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Information within the pharmaceutical industry
- OR 3+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical contact/call center environment
Skills Required:
- Strong medical and scientific communication skills.
- Expertise in Medical Information and Medical Affairs functions.
- Ability to critically evaluate and interpret clinical literature.
