Eligibility & Qualifications for the Medical Officer Job:
Candidates applying for the Medical Officer position must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a medical qualification included in Schedule I or II or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates possessing qualifications under Part II of the Third Schedule must also fulfil the specified statutory condition.
- Must be registered with the State Medical Council.
- Should have special training in Family Planning and Educational Methods.
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing a postgraduate degree or diploma in the concerned speciality.
Selection Process:
Since Medical Officer is a Group A post, selection involves a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an interview. The CBT consists of 85 MCQs for 85 marks, with a duration of 85 minutes, while the interview carries 15 marks, bringing the total to 100 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer: in the CBT.
The final selection for Group A posts will be based on performance in the CBT and Interview, subject to eligibility scrutiny and document verification.
