Job Description
The Medical Oncologist at Medanta will provide comprehensive cancer care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Responsibilities include evaluating diagnostic tests, staging and risk stratification, prescribing and monitoring chemotherapy and systemic therapies, and collaborating with radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated treatment. The role involves participation in tumor boards, development of evidence-based protocols, counseling patients and families on treatment options and expectations, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The Medical Oncologist may also contribute to clinical research, teaching, and continuous improvement initiatives within the oncology department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive cancer care through outpatient and inpatient management.
- Evaluate diagnostic tests and perform staging and risk stratification.
- Prescribe and monitor chemotherapy and systemic therapies.

Eligibility Criteria for this Medical Oncologist Job:
- Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Oncology.
- Deep knowledge of cancer biology, staging, and treatment pathways.
- Skills in chemotherapy management, including regimen selection and toxicity monitoring.
- Familiarity with radiation therapy principles and coordination of care.
- DM/DrNB in Medical Oncology or equivalent recognized qualification.
