The Clinical Research Medical Science Liaison (CR-MSL) serves as a trusted, agile partner who engages in meaningful dialogue with investigators, delivers high-impact insights, and supports patient enrollment in clinical trials. This field-based role requires up to 80% travel and close collaboration with CR-SMA, RCO, and CRC/CRA teams to drive Phase 1-3 clinical trial activities.
The primary role of the MSL is to identify, develop, and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) within therapeutic areas. The focus is on investigational programs where India is a participating country, supporting priority studies and engaging in scientific discussions with principal investigators.
- Identify and recommend top investigators for the therapeutic area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Thought Leaders to gather insights on disease management and unmet clinical needs.
- Engage in scientific discussions through field visits, presentations, and conferences.
- Discuss clinical trial protocols, MOA of drugs, and therapeutic pipelines with interested HCPs.
Support Clinical Trial Activities
- Understand and stay updated on all BMS India clinical trials, protocols, and MOA of drugs.
- Conduct regular site visits and report insights from trial sites.
- Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions on congress data and treatment landscapes.
- Support Interventional and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) studies.
- Provide recommendations and insights on study and site feasibilities.
- Assist in CRO-sponsored studies and ISR submissions.
- Ensure compliance with BMS Pharmacovigilance procedures.
- Support trial recruitment, educational initiatives, and investigator/site engagement meetings.
- Advocate for clinical trial designs, patient experiences, and unmet medical needs.
Provide Medical Support
- Act ethically and compliantly in all activities.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dedication to achieving strategic outcomes.
- Share best practices to optimize team performance.
- Provide training and scientific updates to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with CRAs to optimize recruitment and trial awareness.
- MBBS, MD, BDS, or MDS
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical, scientific, or clinical research environment
- Strong ability to discuss and present scientific or clinical data
- Experience in building peer-to-peer relationships with leading doctors and scientists
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to quickly grasp new subject areas and environments
- Ability to travel up to 80% of workdays
- Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)
- Strong background in scientific and clinical research
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Innovative mindset with problem-solving skills
- Understanding of clinical trial design, national healthcare environment, and HEOR concepts (a plus)
- Knowledge of scientific publications and disease areas
