Job Description:
As a Medical Science Liaison at Boehringer Ingelheim, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing the medical affairs strategy within their assigned zone, contributing to impactful scientific engagement and partnerships. This role requires building a deep understanding of current practices, treatment trends, and therapies within the therapeutic area while engaging with key customers and attending scientific symposia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the medical affairs strategy within the assigned territory.
- Develop an understanding of current treatment practices and therapeutic trends.
- Engage key customers and healthcare experts through scientific interactions.
- Attend scientific symposia and review relevant medical literature.
- Gather and communicate accurate scientific information.
- Build credible, non-promotional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Execute key medical projects, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS).
- Identify and establish relationships with key experts within the territory.
- Support implementation of local medico-marketing strategies.
- Deliver scientific presentations supporting new products or indications.
- Provide medical rationale and scientific literature support.
- Contribute to the development and review of product labeling documents.
- Support Regulatory Affairs in accessing external scientific experts when appropriate.
Eligibility Criteria for this Medical Science Liaison Job:

Candidates interested in this Medical Science Liaison Job should meet the following requirements:
- Medical degree in Pharmacology
- Preferably 4–5 years of experience in the relevant field and pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- For professionals without a doctoral qualification, 10+ years of relevant field-based experience with strong scientific expertise is preferred
- Scientific expertise in the Diabetes Therapy Area is preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal and scientific communication capabilities
