Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Medical Science Liaison – Oncology for its Medical Affairs function in Ahmedabad/Jaipur. The selected professional will serve as a therapeutic-area scientific expert and scientific representative of the organisation while engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). The position involves discussing scientific developments and clinical trial data, gathering medical insights, responding to scientific information requests, and supporting the broader medical strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary scientific representative for the organisation to KOLs in the Oncology therapy area.
  • Identify, map, and profile KOLs in the designated geography and therapy area on an ongoing basis.
  • Engage identified KOLs through medical affairs initiatives aligned with the overall franchise plan.
  • Represent the therapeutic area for medical and scientific affairs on relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Gather customer insights and communicate them back to the franchise team.
  • Process scientific information requests from Healthcare Professionals (HCP).
  • Serve as a scientific resource for the sales team, providing regular training on the latest medical developments.
  • Travel 70-80% for interactions with customers and stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications for this Medical Science Liaison Job:

  • Medical graduate (MD/ MBBS/ BDS /MDS) or Pharmaceutical university Degree (PharmD or PhD).
    • Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
    • Good understanding of medical affairs function.
    • Understanding of local regulatory policy and industry’s code of practice related to drug registration, pharmaceutical promotion, and clinical research.
