Job Description:
The National Consultant-M&E will play a critical role in evidence-based decision-making to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include monitoring the malaria epidemiological situation, developing comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure quality implementation of the project. The consultant will be pivotal in analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring that the project aligns with national health objectives and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the malaria epidemiological situation in States/UTs/Districts, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and interventions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring & evaluation plans, ensuring that the project’s progress is tracked accurately and effectively.
- Supervise and analyze HR activity reports to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational efficiency.
- Plan and conduct mid-term/end-term evaluations of the project, assessing the impact and sustainability of implemented strategies.
- Collaborate with NCVBDC Officers and other stakeholders to foster a coordinated approach to malaria elimination efforts.
- Review monthly/quarterly/annual reports from States/Districts to ensure compliance with project objectives and timelines.
- Facilitate epidemic preparedness in States/UTs/Districts, developing contingency plans to address potential outbreaks.
- Undertake field visits to assess implementation and identify gaps, providing recommendations for improvement and capacity building.
Eligibility Criteria for this NCVBDC Consultant Job:
- Qualifications: MBBS with post-graduate qualification in PSM/Community Medicine or MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS with MPH. These qualifications ensure the candidate has the necessary medical knowledge and public health expertise to contribute effectively to the project.
- Experience: 3-5 years in Public Health at National or State Level or Masters in Demography/Biostatistics with 5-7 years’ experience. This experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of public health initiatives and managing large-scale health programs.
- Age: Upper age limit is 45 years, ensuring candidates have the maturity and experience needed for this senior role.
