Job Description
National Health Mission, Uttarakhand invites eligible candidates for the following positions of Specialists to work in Himalayan state of Uttarakhand:
Selection for the Specialist Doctor positions is made on “You Quote, We Pay” basis.
NHM Uttarakhand Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
- Obstetrician & Gynaecologist: MBBS with PG degree/ Diploma from any MCI recognized institution in related speciality
- Paediatrician: As per the notification
- Anaesthetist: As per the notification
- Maximum age limit for the recruitment in lieu of this advertisement is 65 years, however relaxation in age upto 70 years may be given on case to case basis, as per decision of selection committee and approval of Executive Committee.
- Note: On Selection, candidate has to apply for registration with Uttarakhand Medical Council.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate has to provide services as per prescribed TOR and defined responsibilities.
Salary
Specialists engaged under the YQWP model are remunerated on a consolidated basis, with an upper ceiling of up to ₹4.00 lakh per month based on the quotation submitted by the candidate for a specific health facility.
Fixed Remuneration: It will be same as per the existing NHM-approved remuneration structure applicable to Specialists as per Table A below (Lower Himalaya/ Accessible Area, Mid Himalaya, Upper Himalaya):
- Diploma Holder, Exp < 1 yr: ₹1,20,000.00 / ₹1,80,000.00 / ₹2,00,000.00
- Diploma Holder, Exp 1 – 3 yrs: ₹1,30,000.00 / ₹1,90,000.00 / ₹2,10,000.00
- Diploma Holder, Exp > 3 yrs: ₹1,40,000.00 / ₹2,00,000.00 / ₹2,20,000.00
- Degree Holder, Exp < 1 yr: ₹1,30,000.00 / ₹1,90,000.00 / ₹2,10,000.00
- Degree Holder, Exp 1 – 3 yrs: ₹1,40,000.00 / ₹2,00,000.00 / ₹2,20,000.00
- Degree Holder, Exp > 3 yrs: ₹1,50,000.00 / ₹2,10,000.00 / ₹2,30,000.00
- Super Specialist, Exp < 1 yr: ₹1,40,000.00 / ₹2,30,000.00 / ₹2,50,000.00
- Super Specialist, Exp 1 – 3 yrs: ₹1,50,000.00 / ₹2,40,000.00 / ₹2,60,000.00
- Super Specialist, Exp > 3 yrs: ₹1,60,000.00 / ₹2,50,000.00 / ₹2,70,000.00
Top-up Amount (Component to Quoted by the candidate): The additional amount over and above the fixed remuneration (mentioned in above Table – A) is to be quoted by the candidate in the Financial Proposal enclosed with Proposal Format.
Emoluments in Leave Period: If the YQWP Specialist Doctor avails any long leave like Paternity, Maternity and Child Care leave etc. except Casual Leave and Privileged Leave, then in these scenarios, only the base fixed remuneration should be paid; no Top up amount to be paid as this is for providing services at a particular place.

Documents Required
- Prescribed format (Proposal Format) with all required documents and declarations, uploaded on the website
- Detailed CV, Education (degree/ diploma), Mark sheets, document for registration and certificate for working experience
- Self-declaration for Medical Fitness
- Affidavit for No litigation/ legal case pending in the court of law and of not employed in Regular Cadre Service/ Bonded category service, on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 10/-
- Self-declaration in the enclosed prescribed format for being in clinical practice/ performing surgeries
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned department/ competent authority, if employed in Regular Cadre Service/ Bonded Category Service (mandatory; without it, candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview)
- Financial Proposal showing Top up amount per month for the preferred facility
How to Apply for NHM Uttarakhand Recruitment?
- The eligible candidate, wishing to appear for interview, must submit his/ her proposal on the day of interview in closed envelope in the prescribed format (uploaded on website) with all the required documents and declarations mandatorily.
- Candidate should submit proposal/ Top up Amount as per his/ her preference of facilities.
- Proposals/ Quotes received from the candidate must be clear and shall be in closed and sealed envelope.
- Candidate must be present physically for interview on 03 December 2025 at the above address by 09:30 AM.
Additional Information
- Proposals/ Quotes submitted by the candidate shall be acceptable only if they fulfil eligibility criteria as prescribed.
- Facility wise and Speciality wise shortlisting will be done as per selection criteria including but not limited to qualifications, working experience and near past work done. The decision of the selection committee will be final in this regard.
- The lowest financial proposal/ quote from eligible candidate shall be offered the quoted facility. In case of similar quoted amount, NHM, Uttarakhand will decide allocation on the criteria based on the following in descending order: a) Degree (preference shall be given over Diploma) b) Number of years of Experience c) Experience of near past.
- If the Lowest proposal/ quote is unable to join the allotted facility then NHM-UK will allot the facility to the next proposer (higher than lowest) and this process will continue till the position is filled up or no. of proposals/ quotes exhaust.
- The meritorious candidate even with higher financial quote may also be selected by the committee, so constituted as quality of services being the prime concern.
- NHM-UK will reserve the right to reject any lowest quoted proposal without assigning reason and selection cannot be treated as matter of right by the candidate.
- NHM-UK will execute agreement for 11 months. If the selected candidate wants to discontinue they have to intimate with prior ONE month notice or they can discontinue services by depositing ONE month salary in advance.
- If at any juncture NHM-UK finds the service of selected candidate is not satisfactory then NHM-UK can annul the agreement by giving one month prior notice or one month advance salary to the selected candidate.
- Performance evaluation will be done on completion of 03 months of services.
- NHM-UK will have the liberty for further extension on mutual consent of the both parties.
- This advertisement can be cancelled at any point of time without assigning any reason thereof.
- The number of posts/ facilities can be increased/ decreased/ changed at any point of time including the day of interview.
- This selection will be for the posts on contractual basis and no claim for regular appointment will be admissible.
- Posting to be shifted in the same region: the posting can be shifted in the same region such as Upper Himalayas to Upper Himalayas, Mid to Mid and Lower to Lower.
