Job Description:
The Clinical Data Abstractor will be responsible for reviewing and abstracting clinical patient data for various projects, including research, registry, quality improvement, and regulatory reporting. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to project protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Abstract demographics, diagnoses, procedures, medications, lab results, and outcomes from EHRs, charts, and physician notes per project protocols.
- Apply coding systems such as ICD-10-CM, SNOMED CT, MedDRA, and CPT.
- Enter and maintain data in REDCap/EDC/registry databases.
- Perform data validation and quality control checks.
- Follow GCP, IRB, and HIPAA requirements.
- Meet accuracy and turnaround targets.
Eligibility Criteria for the Non-Clinical Job:
- BHMS, BUMS, BDS, BPT, or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical data abstraction, medical records review, or a related role (clinical research, healthcare data management).
- Exposure to oncology, women’s health, or rare diseases is preferred.
- Strong medical terminology and Excel skills.
