Position Summary:

As a Clinical Medical Manager, you will be a part a high‑performing Clinical Medical team, spearhead the creation of the scientific strategy for clinical trial excellence plus translate it into impactful field execution, and strengthen scientific engagement with Principal Investigators and site staff to drive trial outcomes & early portfolio development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver industry-leading clinical trial excellence with scientific insights and external engagement
    • Partner with Clinical Operations Therapy Area Leads and Trial Managers on scientific and medical aspects of early trial planning, start-up, recruitment, and retention
    • Provide scientific inputs to trial portfolio review, country allocation, and site feasibility processes
    • Visit the sites in the assigned geography periodically to discuss the clinical trial conduct, strategies, and collect insights from the site staff
    • Contribute to site selection criteria, and assess medical capabilities as well as scientific training needs at sites in this Non-Clinical Job at Novo Nordisk Careers
    • Engage relevant key opinion leaders who are investigators to optimize trial methodologies, mitigate recruitment and retention challenges, and build long-term relationships
    • Be the local subject matter expert on the product and protocol in relevant trials to discuss early clinical data with external experts during feasibility and to quickly resolve medical queries from site staff during the trial
    • Continuously monitor trial performance with Therapy Area Leads and Trial Managers and take proactive measures to address scientific issues
  • Establish a strong presence in new and current therapy areas
    • Effectively communicate the Novo Nordisk pipeline and scientific narrative to external stakeholders, especially those new to Novo Nordisk in Hyderabad
    • Secure mapping and updating of clinical care pathways for effective recruitment (including referrals) and retention in trials
  • Build organizational readiness
    • In collaboration with Therapy Area Leads, co-design and deploy scientific knowledge building for Clinical Operations on therapy area, product, and protocol as a Clinical Medical Manager
    • Continuously exchange insights and introduce Medical Affairs colleagues to KOLs in new therapy areas, especially during pre-launch

Educational Requirements for this Job:

  • MBBS with MD in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in clinical or medical affairs roles

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of clinical trials and drug development
  • Understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
