Ophthalmology Jobs at Mantracare- Role:

The Optometrist will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and managing a variety of visual and ocular conditions. The role includes prescribing corrective lenses, performing vision therapy, and collaborating with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for specialized care. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to build expertise in clinical optometry, ocular health management, and patient counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Eye Examinations: Conduct detailed eye tests using specialized instruments to identify vision problems, eye injuries, or other abnormalities.
  • Diagnosis: Diagnose refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, and ocular conditions like glaucoma or cataract.
  • Prescriptions: Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids tailored to patient needs.
  • Treatment & Rehabilitation: Provide treatments including vision therapy, low-vision rehabilitation, and minor ocular procedures.
  • Referrals: Coordinate with ophthalmologists or healthcare specialists for advanced treatment or surgical interventions.
  • Counseling: Educate patients about eye hygiene, contact lens care, lifestyle habits, and preventive eye care practices.
  • Pre- and Post-operative Care: Support patients before and after eye surgeries with appropriate clinical guidance.
