Job Description:
NEDS Recovery Surgeon Position: Under the administrative and clinical direction of senior leaders, the Recovery Surgeon will be responsible for surgical organ recovery, assessment of donor suitability, and ensuring adherence to all NEDS surgical recovery standards. Key responsibilities include organ dissection, removal, preparation for transplantation, and intraoperative assessment of medical suitability of the deceased donor.
Qualifications for Organ Recovery Surgeon Job:
Education and Experience:
– Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program
– Minimum three years’ experience as a surgeon in organ donation or transplant operations
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
– Licensed physician in one of the 6 New England states
– Valid state driver’s license required
