Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and oversee departmental pathology services.
- Coordinate with clinicians, laboratory doctors, and technicians for efficient patient care.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and clinical protocols.
- Ensure laboratory investigations follow established quality standards and good laboratory practices in the Pathologist Job in Gujarat.
- Review laboratory reports and diagnostic findings to support clinical decision-making.
- Maintain laboratory safety, infection control, and staff safety protocols.
- Ensure timely and accurate pathology reporting at the Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre.
- Monitor Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) services across the hospital.
- Participate in medical governance, departmental committees, and quality initiatives.
- Support accreditation activities related to NABH, JCI, and other quality systems.
- Introduce new diagnostic services and improve laboratory processes.
- Participate in outreach programs, academic activities, and continuing medical education (CME).
Educational Requirements for the Pathologist Job:
- MD/DNB in Pathology or an equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognized institution.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in diagnostic pathology or laboratory medicine.
- Experience in hospital-based pathology services is preferred.
- Registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Participation in Continuing Medical Education (CME) as per applicable guidelines.
