Job Description:
Apollo Clinic is seeking a Family Physician for a contract-based, on-site position in Pune. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, manage acute and chronic conditions, promote preventive care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred treatment.
Key Responsibilities of the Physician Job:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
- Conduct patient consultations and detailed physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic investigations.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans aligned with Apollo clinical protocols.
- Handle urgent care and minor emergency cases in outpatient settings.
- Coordinate patient referrals and continuity of care with specialists.
- Promote vaccination programs, preventive screenings, and community health initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance programs.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educational Qualifications for this Physician Job:
Essential Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
- Valid medical registration/license to practice in India.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in:
- Family Medicine
- General Practice
- Internal Medicine
Required Skills:
- Strong foundation in primary care and family medicine.
- Proficiency in managing urgent care and minor emergencies.
- Interest or experience in community health and preventive medicine.
- Ability to work in protocol-driven, EMR-based environments.
- Good computer literacy and clinical documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and patient-centred care.
Experience Required for this Physician Job:
- Previous experience in a clinic or hospital-based primary care setting is preferred.
- Exposure to corporate or network healthcare settings is an added advantage.
