Physician Job: Qualifications
Required
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care
- Valid Illinois medical license before hire
- Credentialed through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
Preferred
- Advanced Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Experience in high-acuity ICU settings
About the Role
This 100% Critical Care Physician position is designed for board-certified or board-eligible intensivists seeking a high-acuity ICU practice. Physicians will work within a respected multidisciplinary team delivering 24/7 intensivist coverage in open ICUs, supporting comprehensive stroke care and complex medical cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care services to ICU patients
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage complex medical conditions
- Serve as admitting, attending, or consulting physician as required
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management teams
- Participate in quality improvement, cost-effectiveness, and patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Contribute to academic programs, including medical education and research
- Ensure accurate and compliant clinical documentation
