About the Role
In this physician job, you will act as a trusted clinical leader within senior living and skilled nursing facilities. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care, collaborate closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and advocate for the health, dignity, and well-being of elderly patients. This role combines the autonomy of private practice with the resources and stability of a fast-growing healthcare organization.
Physician Job: Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine
- Current unrestricted state medical license
- Active DEA license
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and a teamwork mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for new patients
- Perform routine patient rounding (minimum once weekly)
- Collaborate with and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Manage complex and regulatory patient visits
- Close quality gaps and improve measurable patient outcomes
- Advocate for patient-centered care decisions
- Represent Curana Health’s mission as a clinical leader within assigned communities
