Project Research Scientist III (Medical Doctor) – St. John’s Research Institute
About the Project
The study consists of two phases:
- Phase 1: A longitudinal study on Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) patients aged 18-65. Participants will use Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) devices for 14 days, along with dietary recall using the Virtual Dietician (VD) app. The results will be used to optimize the VD’s diet recommendation tool for better glucose control and personalized micronutrient intake.
- Phase 2: A Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) comparing two groups—Usual Care and Enhanced Care, both using CGM. The Enhanced Care group will receive personalized dietary guidance through the AI-powered Virtual Dietician app, based on Phase 1 findings.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Recruit patients from OPD for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the clinical trial.
- Monitor and follow up with study participants daily throughout the research period.
- Conduct home visits during Phase 2 to ensure participant engagement and compliance.
