Radiology Jobs—Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS + MD/DNB in Radiology (or DMRD with relevant experience)
  • Valid State Medical Council registration
  • Experience in primary care or outpatient diagnostic settings preferred
  • Skilled in X-ray reporting and routine ultrasound procedures
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS workflows
  • Ability to deliver concise, clinically meaningful diagnostic reports

Role Overview

The radiologist will provide accurate and timely interpretation of essential diagnostic imaging studies for outpatient and primary care needs. The role includes performing routine ultrasound scans, supporting clinical teams with imaging-correlated decisions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret primary care imaging studies, including:
  • Chest, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and spine X-rays
  • Basic ultrasound scans (abdomen, small parts, obstetric scans)
  • Perform on-site ultrasound services during scheduled hours.
  • Deliver timely reports with quick turnaround for routine cases.
  • Support clinicians with imaging interpretations to aid clinical decision-making.
  • Report screening imaging studies for preventive health packages.
  • Ensure compliance with PCPNDT and radiation safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with radiology technicians to maintain image quality and equipment safety.
  • Escalate complex or suspicious findings and recommend specialty referrals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
