Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clinical evaluations as part of technical documentation according to the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
  • Review clinical evidence supporting medical devices.
  • Prepare deficiency reports for non-conformities with MDR requirements.
  • Serve as an internal clinical expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver high-quality regulatory assessment services within defined timelines.
  • Support audits of clinical processes of medical device manufacturers as a clinical expert (remote or on-site), where applicable.
  • Optionally continue practicing medicine on a part-time basis alongside the role.

Educational Requirements for the Remote Urologist Job:

  • Completed medical degree (Physician).
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical practice in:
    • General Surgery
    • Visceral Surgery
    • Operative Urology
  • Board certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Medical device usage
    • Medical device development
    • Medical device testing or evaluation
    • Clinical studies or investigations
    • Clinical evaluation of medical devices
  • Experience with the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR), regulatory affairs, medical writing, or clinical evaluations is an advantage.
  • Experience in scientific literature searches or peer review in the medical field.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • German language skills are an added advantage.
