Job Description:

Applications are invited for one (01) position of Research Associate III under the project:

“Technical Resource Centre under the Centre for Evidence for Guidelines, Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India”

The selected candidate will contribute to systematic reviews, evidence synthesis, guideline development, and research dissemination initiatives that support national healthcare programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses according to international standards.
  • Develop research protocols and evidence synthesis methodologies.
  • Perform literature searches, data extraction, and quality assessments.
  • Prepare manuscripts, reports, and scientific publications.
  • Utilise GRADE methodologies and Evidence-to-Decision (EtD) frameworks.
  • Collaborate with project investigators and multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Support evidence-based guideline development initiatives.
  • Present research findings and contribute to scientific discussions.

Skills Required for this Research Associate Job:

  • Strong expertise in systematic reviews and meta-analysis methodologies.
  • Proficiency in evidence synthesis software and analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of the GRADE approach and GRADE Evidence to Decision (EtD) framework.
  • Excellent scientific manuscript writing and publication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to research ethics and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in literature search databases and reference management tools.

Educational Qualifications for this Research Associate Job:

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must possess any one of the following from an NMC/NDC-recognized institution:

  • MD
  • MS
  • MPH
  • MDS

Additionally, applicants must have:

  • Certified training in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
  • At least two published systematic reviews as the first author or corresponding author in MEDLINE-indexed journals.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Good manuscript writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certified training in:
    • Systematic review protocol development.
    • Meta-analysis software.
    • GRADE methodology.
    • GRADE Evidence to Decision (EtD) framework.

Salary & Fellowship:

  • Monthly Fellowship: ₹67,000
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): ₹20,100
  • Total Monthly Compensation: ₹87,100

Duration of Appointment:

  • Initial appointment for 3 months.
  • Extendable up to 1 year, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of project funds.
