Educational Qualification and Experience
- MBBS, MD/DNB Pathology
- Foundational Level Relevant experience in histopathology/IHC, working in research settings, academia, and corporate (Hospitals/Pharma).
Research Job Description
This research job oversees one of the major technology platforms (pathology, digital pathology, and IHC) and is involved in clinical biomarker assay development, validation, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in a team of pathologists, provide Clinical Pathology support to programs/projects at BBRC in close collaboration with the BMS pathology team.
- Responsible for the development of IHC/ISH assay development, qualification/validation, and sample analysis.
- Works in close collaboration with the scientists/pathologists onsite to support translational pathology and immunohistochemistry workflows.
- Support ongoing translational R&D projects in collaboration with the hospital network.
- Undergo self-training and support the digital pathology workflow under the supervision of senior pathologists.
- Actively participate in SOP preparation and maintenance, also support, and periodically review Inventory management.
Technical/functional Skills
- Hands-on experience in pathology/IHC working in the hospital or corporate (pharma/technology) setting.
- Hands-on experience/ basic knowledge of IHC is required.
- Knowledge of Digital pathology is desired.
- Experience in oncology and/or other therapeutic areas, along with handling clinical samples and clinical programs, is essential.
- Experience of working in a regulated laboratory setting (CAP/NABL or other GxP environment) is good to have.
