Job Description:
This Senior Consultant Job is for one Senior Consultant (Scientific–Medical) at ICMR-NIRWoH, Parel, Mumbai. The position is intended for experienced professionals with proven competency and success in their area of specialization. Candidates with experience in genetic counselling, genetic testing services and research projects are preferred. The initial tenure will not exceed one year and may be extended based on requirements and satisfactory performance, subject to the applicable engagement conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven competency and success in the relevant area of specialization.
- Relevant scientific and medical expertise.
- Experience in genetic counselling is desirable.
- Experience in genetic testing services is desirable.
- Previous experience working on research projects is preferred.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a medical research environment.
- Compliance with applicable ICMR consultant engagement guidelines.
Educational Requirements for this Senior Consultant Job:
Candidates applying for this Senior Consultant Job should meet the specified eligibility requirements:
- Minimum MBBS or equivalent degree in the relevant subject.
- At least 12 years of post-qualification experience with proven competency and success in the relevant specialization.
OR
- Retired Government employees possessing the requisite qualification who served in regular Pay Level 10 or above, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in the required specialization.
Important Experience Conditions:
- MD/MS or equivalent will be considered as three years of experience.
- MPH will not be considered as experience.
